Oct. 03, 1966 - The Boy who forgot the Plug-Hole: A contest to keep afloat in a bath and paddle 100 yards down the Thames, was held during the National Sea Scouts Regatta at Teddington, Surrey, yesterday. It appeared that 13-year old Bobb Woodruft and his pals from the 4th. Renfrewshire Troop overlooked that vital point - the plug-hole - which resulted in Bobby getting a ducking. Said Bobby afterwards We though we had plugged the hole with a washer. But, he added, superflously, somehow the water got in.
