Sep. 09, 1966 - Stowaways Thrown into the sea'. The Piracus Port Police Authorities recently arrested the captain of the German cargo boat Rudgert Vinnen of Bremen - 50 - year old Bert Steeve, who is accused of throwing into the sea two Turkish illegal passengers who had secretly boarded the boat after they paid 60 dollars to the carpenter of the vessel. The two Turks were discovered in Alexandria, but since the Egyptian authorities refused their disembarkation, The German captain, it was alleged, gave them two old life jacket, some while sailing off the coast of one of Crete. One of the two Turks, Sailin Triffi succeded in reaching the coast of Crete and was saved, whilst the other named Akir Eqiyun, was probably drowned, as two day of searching failed to find him.
