Feb. 02, 1969 - The Russian vessel Persey III, 3, 800 tons, designed to study the behaviour of fish and their environmental conditions, has docked at Shoreham for a goodwill visit timed to coincide with the first Oceanology International Exhibition at Brighton. The exhibition is opened by Mr.Benn, Minister of Technology. The Persey III, which will be at Shoreham for a week, belongs to the Polar Research Institute of Marine Fisheries and Oceanography at Murmansk. Her equipment includes a laboratory and a diving section fitted with a decompression chamber. Photo Shows:- In command of the Persey III, is Capt. Fyodor I.
