Feb. 02, 1970 - Tanker Safety Course wins World Acclaim.: Ship owners throughout the world are showing increasing interest in a tanker safety course at the School of Navigation, Southampton, set up by British owners and the British Shipping Federation. It is the only one of its kind. Representatives of owners from Japan, the United States, Middle east and the Continent have taken the course, for which there is now a waiting list.
