Oct. 10, 1970 - Asians in rubber dinghy are picked up by German Coaster off the Goodwin Sands: Police and immigration officials were today interviewing an Englishman and ton Asians who were picked up from a rubber dinghy off the Kent coast. The II mystery men were rescued by the German coaster Rita Vogue three miles off the Goddwin Sands after a faint SOS, flashed by torch, had been spotted. Earlier an Interpol tip-off is believed to have alerted police that illegal immigrants were on their way across the Channel. The II men were landed from the German coaster at Dover.
