Oct. 10, 1970 - Asians in rubber dinghy are picked up by German Coaster off the Goodwin Sands: Police and immigration officials were today interviewing an Englishman and ton Asians who were picked up from a rubber dinghy off the Kent coast. The II mystery men were rescued by the German coaster Rita Vogue three miles off the Goddwin Sands after a faint SOS, flashed by torch, had been spotted. Earlier an Interpol tip-off is believed to have alerted police that illegal immigrants were on their way across the Channel. The II men were landed from the German coaster at Dover. Photo shows some of the Asians were seen leaving the German coaster Rita Vogue on its arrival at Dover today
