1973 - The Smuggler ship Claudia in Hamburg; On March 28th, soldiers and policemen of the Republic of Ireland captured the German freighter Claudia sailing under the colors of Cyprus, which was going to smuggle 250 rifles, 240 smaller weapons, mines, and anti tank grenade launchers to Ireland for the IRA. In the course of the transaction, six members of the underground, some of them in loading positions, were arrested. The ship was allowed to sail to Germany and arrived in Hamburg on April 2nd.
