Oct. 10, 1973 - A New Mast for round the world sailor French sailor-Eric Tabarly the leader in the round world regatta was stop-ped in Rio-de Janeiro by a broken east on his boat. Within 3 days a swiss constructor has built a new-one which is 25 meters long and weights 600 kilos. keanwhilo the mast was brought by-a Boeing-707 from Geneva to Rio no that the lonely sailor Tabarly will be able to continue the race
