Oct. 10, 1973 - Prototype of new police boat shown at the 14th German Boat exhibition International in Hamburg, : Looking more like a sports yacht is the 12, 25 metre long police boat (our picture) which is also shown - among about 1000 other boats and yahtcs on display. Yes it is the first police boat in Germany to be constructed solely of plastic material. This makes the boat very maneuverable and light in wiehgt. Another asset is its price: DM 330 000 Previously DM 1.2 millwere spent on such boat, thus yielding in major price reduction. also there are only two crew members needed compared at prviiusly six. After this exhibition ends, th prototypr will be handed to Hamburgs waster police forces for which is was ordered by the Senate of Hambrug
