Jun. 06, 1972 - Nato Naval Force visits London: Warships of four NATO maritime nations the Standing Naval Force Atlantic were arriving in London today for a week's visit. The five warships of the squadron are under the command of Commodore J.D.E. Fieldhouse, R.N. who is flying his broad pendant in the frigate HMS Aurora (Commander G.F. Liardet RN). The Aurora and M Nl Ms Evertsen (the Netherlands) are berthed alongside the cruiser H.M.S. Belfast in the Pool of London. The Almirante Pereira Da Silva (Portugal) and the U.S.S. Charles S. Adams (United States) will secure in the Thames off Greenwich. A second U.S. ship, the USS Bigelow arrives on Wednesday. Photo shows (L to R). HMS Aurora; M Nl M.S.
