1980 - Lionheart Final Trials In The Solent: Mr Richard Clampett keeping a cool head as he adjusted the rigging of Lionheart, the250, 000 British contender for the America's Cup, during final working - up trials in the Solent of the Isle of Wight yesterday. The 12-metre yacht will be shipped to American in June for the competition which begine off Newport, Rhode Island, on August 6th
