Oct. 20, 1969 - Mammoth Japanese Dock: An aerial view of the 400, 000 DWT repair dock in operation at the Sadebo Heavy Idustries, and can accommodate the giant tankers now afloat. The dock 370 metres long, 70 metres wide and 15 metres deep, can be flooded in 2.5 hours. The dock gates are bottom-hinged falling by gravity, and rising by power drive wire ropes
