1975 - Pop stars perform in aid of Bangladeshi children: New York pop fans paid thousands of pounds to see their favourites again at a Madison Square Garden gathering in aid of child refugees from East Pakistan. On stage were Ringo Starr, George Harrison and Bob Dylan, as well as a host of other stars. It turned out to be one of the most friendly and frenzied gatherings for months with black market tickets fatching up to 20. More than half-a-million dollars will go to the cause.
