Bob Hope, comedian, visits his family in Hitchin
Nov. 11, 1947 - Bob Hope pays a visit to his old family - famous Comedian at Hitchin: On his fleeting visit to this country to see the Royal Wedding and to appear at the Royal Command show of The Bishop's wife Bob Hope managed to snatch a few hours off to run down to Hitchin, Herts, where members of his family are living. There was a family celebration in the shape of a tea party, and Bob helped with the washing up.
