Mar. 03, 1958 - The first German Army Ski-Championship took place on March 1st, 1958 in Luttenese near Mittenwald. It was the first after the war. Champion became the 1st team of the 1st Alpine Division. Leader was Lieutenant Klaus Niedermeier, 24, Sgt. Peter Lederle, Pvt. Scheffler and Pvt. Andreas Leferle the rest of the team. Andreas Lederle had become well knwon because he had run 12 miles on one ski during the International Championship in Pardomecha. Photo shows the winning team during shooting. The German Inspecting General Rottider looks on very interested
