Nov. 11, 1958 - Skiing on Plastic. New Norwegian Practice Jump: Norwegian ski enthusiasts have found a new way to continue their hobby even in the summer where there is no snow. They have rigged up a ski jump with plastic mats in place of the snow and the idea is said to be extremely satisfactory. The mats are placed over a thick foundation of straw.
