Bobsledding - Skating - Skiing - Figure Skating

May 16, 1964 - 1, 200 Miles to the World?s Fair on Skis ? A team of amateur ski enthusiasts are currently in training for what is said to be the longest water ski journey ever attempted and a distance of more than 1, 200 miles. The group will leave St. Petersburg, Florida, and travel across lakes and canals to the Florida East Coast, then proceed North up the Atlantic intercoastal waterways to the New York World?s Fair. If successful, the event, scheduled to take place in June, will be one of the greatest marine endurance feats attempted in recent years.
