Jan. 01, 1968 - A Child Skater's Wish Is Fulfilled: A friendly Camel paid a visit to the Silver Blades Ice Rink, Streatham, London, this morning to fulfill a little girl's wish. The wish was made by Lucy Wisdom of Upper Norwood on becoming Super Skater Of The Month'. This is an award of a gold star for attendances at the Saterday morning Super skater club at the ice rink. Lucy, aged 10, asked what she wanted to do most of all, replied I would like to ride a camel'. Her wish was granted with the co-operation of Chessington zoo. and much to her delight and many other young skaters, Sheena, the camel, turned up at the ice rink.
