Jul. 07, 1976 - Skuda skateboarding launched in Britain: Skateboarding - the sport which has swept America and Australia is launched in Britian. Skateboards Ltd announce the first all-British design which is currently being mass-produced at their Norwich factory to meet the rapidly growing demand fro a professionally-styled, fully manoeurable board. The world free-style skateboard champion, 18 year old Miss Robin Alawai, from California, is on a flying visit to launch the British board. The Skuda skateboard is made from tough fibre glass with clear polyerethane with low friction wheels.
