Nov. 11, 1972 - Swim to freedom ends in death: The body of a Chinese man covered with flies, is revealed by the ebbing tide on a beach of the New territories in Hong Kong amongst flotsam and jetsam following his attempt of flee from mainland China. He probably became exhausted swimming against adverse currents in the cold water, and drowned.He is one of the thousands who have tried to reach Hong Kong from China and many have lost their lives in a similar manner
