Mar. 03, 1954 - He is said to be the Strongest man in Bavaria for the time being : A competition is held every year in the Munich lowenbraukeller to find who is the strongest man in Bavaria - during which the contestants have to stand and lift a stone which weighs 508 lbs. The winner is the man who lifts it highest off the platform. The competition last two weeks - and the winner of the first evening was Heinrich sendeel who is seen here - as with a nightly heave - he lifts it 20 centimeters
