Feb. 29 Olympic games for the handicapped in Canada : from august 3rd to 11th 1976, the Olympic games for the Handicapped take place under the auspices of premier Trudeau in Toronto, Canada. 1700 athletes from 51 countries participate in the games covering arching, white-lifting, fencing, athletics, pentathlon, swimming, and table tennis. The participants of the federal republic of Germany -66 wheel chair drivers. 15 blinds and 15 amputated persons - are preparing for the Olympic event in the processional training center in Bad Vlbel (picture).
