Feb. 02, 1953 - New Style Weapons At Small Arms School - Hythe Celebrating Centenary: Many new and old style weapons were demonstrated today at the Small Arms School, at Hythe, Kent - formerly the School Musketry - formed in 1853 - when the school celebrated it's 100th anniversary. Some of the early weapons were contrasted with their modern counter parts.Photo shows Q.M.S. Chief Instructor D. Maber demonstrates the 7 mm Rifle which is self-loading at the school
