Jan. 01, 1959 - Blind super-bomb at Sorpe Dam: On Oct. 15th, 1944, a 108-lbs bomb was thrown at the Sorpe Dam Sauerland/Germany. The bomb - a Damburster-type - did not explode and was found later when the dam was to be repared. The British lieutenant James Waters (38) and the German fire brigade worker Mitzke had to dispose the bomb of its dangerous fuse. They are seen with the now harmless bomb
