Mar. 22 Three New Tanks Revealed. The Royal Swedish Army has revealed the development of three new military tanks that are to take their place as an essential part of Sweden's defence force. Vehicle No. 1, seen at left, is a 37-ton tank of unique turret-less design which carries a 105mm gun. Vehicle No.2, seen at centre, is a new 45-ton model which carries a self propelled 155mm gun. Capable of firing 14 rounds in 45 seconds, the weapon has a range of 13 miles. Vehicle No.3, seen at far right, is a versatile anti-aircraft tank. Mounted on a 360 degree turning turret, its rapid-fire, 40mm gun can be used against targets on the ground as well as in the air. Photo Shows: Three newly revealed Swedish tanks.
