Mar. 03, 1963 - Swedish Designed Tank - Said To Be Best In World Details have just been released of a revolutionary type of tank. It incorportates a host of features to improve safety and efficiency, including the elimination of the turret by mounting the 105mm gun directly on to the chassis, the maoeuverability of the vehicle allowing for the gun to be aimed by turning the whole tank. The crew is reduced to three men by using an utomatic loader, and height is reduced to approximately six feet, presenting a low target to an enemy. It is claimed that the tank can turn through an angle of 90 degrees in 2 seconds, as opposed to the 15 seconds taken by a convential tank.
