Jan. 23, 1968 - Search For H-Bombs After American Bomber Crashes In Greenland: A search is being carried out by American Air Force teams for four hydrogen bombs aboard a U.S. bomber which crashed into ice-covered sea when attempting an emergency landing. The plane, a B-52 bomber, crashed yesterday in Greenland's North Star Bay - seven miles from the American Air Force base at Thule. A statement said the B-52 bomber's nuclear weapons were unarmed and there was no danger of a nuclear explosion.
