Jun. 06, 1968 - New Armories at the Tower of be opened today: New armouries at the Tower of London containing the finest exhibition of sporting guns in Britain are to be opened today by the Duke of Kent. The weapons are from the Royal Collection at Windsor. At the same time two dungeons, completely redecorated and housing a superb display of 17th century armour, will be opened. Photo shows Mr. James Jackson, the Queen's Armourer, examining in the Tower workshops a finely decorated French barrelled shotgun presented to Prince Albert by Louise Phillippe in 1844. Beside him is Mr. A.R. Duffy, Master of the Armouries
