Jun. 06, 1968 - Presentation Model Of 1896 Mauser Automatic Pistol Sold For 900 Guineas At Christie's.: A fine presentation model of 1896 Mauser Automatic Pistol 113/6 ins was sold today at the Fine Arms and Armour auction at Christie's of London, for 900 Guinness. The frame, breech and barrel gilt and boldly engraved with scrolling foliage, and the magazine housing with a prospector panning for gold on one side and a bear shooting scene on the other, and signed L.N. With chequered walnut grips and detachable walnut holster/stock with spring-loaded butt-plate. Photo shows Angela Kramer holds the 1896 mausef automatic pistol which was sold today for 900 guiness
