Dec. 12, 1980 - Jean Francois Stevenin with the deadly XM 18 in London today. Ultimate hand weapon makes it debut: The XM 18 Projectile Launcher, probably the most lethal hand weapon ever devised, made an appearance in London today. It is featured in the new film The Dogs of War which has its World Premiere in London on December 17th. The one man destruction outfit as it has been dubbed, can fire a combination of gas, smoke or high impact missiles from its multi-barrelled chamber over distances up to 200 yards. Little more is known about the deadly weapon which is currently being tested by both the Pentagon and the British Ministry of Defence. Today stars from the film, a tough study of mecenaries in action based upon the best seller by Frederick Forayth, attended a pre-premiere gathering in London. Actor Jean -Francois Stevenin, who plays a mercenary in the film, posed with the deadly XM 18. The film's other stars are Christopher Malken, Tom Borenger and Colin Blakely
