Bombs - Guns - Weapons

Jul. 07, 1981 - Barricades and Petrol Bombs a Brixton Erupts: The calm of Brixton broke last night when violence hits the streets. Ten policemen were hurt when stone-throwing black youths set fire to cars and vans and tried to build barricades after being driven by the police from Raliton Road in the early hours of the morning. The people of Brixton were angered by a group of a 100 police officers who went in the area yesterday morning searching about a dozen home looking for firebombs. Photo shows a burning van during the confrontation with the police in the streets of Brixton last night
