May 05, 1970 - Queen Watches Re-enactment of Captain Cook's Landing.: As the Royal Family waited to watch a re- enactment of Captain Cook's landing at Botany near Sydney, Australia pranksters in an outboard motor boat stole the show. Dressed in period costume two students raced for the shore carrying a Union Jack, chased by Police launches, and planted their flag before the official landing could get under way.
