Ezzard Charles, the former World Heavyweight champion, was last night disqualified for holding, in the second round of his scheduled 15 round contest against Dick Richardson, of Wales, at Harringay Arena. The arena was in an uproar as the referee led Charles to his corner after repeated warnings.
