Feb. 25 Three Boxing stars in Training Pompey- McCarthy and Lazar. Three stars of the Boxing ring - seen at the Thomas A Beckett Gymnasium, Old kent road where they are in training for forthcoming contests.. They are L-R:- Yolande Pompey from Trinidad who meets Archie Moore the world Cruiser weight champion at Harringay in March; Sammy McCarthy who meets holder of the British light weight title Frank Johnson at the Royal Albert Hall on January 24th. And Lew Lazar from Aldgate who meets Eddie Thomas in a Middleweight contest at the Royal Albert Hall on the same bill as Sammy McCarthy
