Feb. 02, 1962 - AMATEUR K.O. CHAMPION-BILLY WALKER SIGNS PROFESSIONAL FORMS. Amateur Heavyweight K.O. Champion BILLY WALKER this morning visited the offices of the British Board of Boxing Control-to sign Professional application forms. He is expected to be paid at least, 000 for his first professional fight-at the Wembley Pool om March 27th. It will be the highest paid professional debut in British Boxing. he is famous as an Amateur K.O. expert-having had only 33 amateur bouts-lasting under 65 rounds 65 rounds in all.
