May 05, 1976 - World title fight in Tokyo: Spanish boxer Ko's champion.: Jose Duran of Spain knocked out Koichi Wajiman of Japan with a right to the jaw in the 14th round of their 15-round match in Tokyo to win the WBA junior middleweight championship. Duran has scored earlier knockdowns in the second and 13th round. Duran who turned professional after the Mexico Olympics has fought 100 matches winning 64 with 36 knockouts. She is 31 years of age, while Wajima an ex-truck driver is 33, and it was the third time he has lost the title. Japanese referee Yusaku Yoshida finishes the knockout count when Wajima is unable to rise from the canvas, as Duran looks on from a neutral corner
