Apr. 12, 1955 - Scouting from mafeking to modern times exhibition at Oxford street store. Nearly 3, 000 sq. feet of Sefrlge's (illegible)Oxford street store have been set aside for the Scouting from Mafeking to Modern Times exhibition which contain many historical relics of Lord Baden Powell, the founder, which were in view for the first time. The object of the show is to illustrate the growth of scouting since the time that Baden Powell, saw the potentialities of Youth from the work of boy messengers during the seige of Mafeking.
