Sep. 09, 1962 - Starry eyed; Three young Kansas girl scouts, arriving for personal appearances in connection with their leading roles in a coast to cost CBS telecast, have the added thrill of meeting Joan Crawford following their flight from Los Angeles via TWA Superjet. Gwen Byers, 16, Marty Mettner, 17, both of Topeka, and Sandi Beck, 17, of Manhattan (Kansas) will appear in an hour long TV tribute to girl scouting, The road to button bay, On Sept. 24th, they flew here from Hollywood where they met a most of starts and made a presentation to California's Governor, Edward Pat Brown from Governor John Anderson of Kansas. Tomorrow (Thursday) the Girls will meet Governor Nelson Rockefeller in Manhattan
