Dec. 12, 1967 - Brian Jones put on Probation : Brian Jones, the Rolling Stones guitarist, appeared in court today to appeal against his nine-months sentence imposed after he was found guilty on drug charges. Jones, on bail, made his appeal in the court of the Lord Chief Justice. The pop star was sentenced for possessing cannabis (indian hemp) and allowing his flat to be used for cannabis smoking. The nine-month sentence was put aside. He was fined £1, 000 and put on probation. Photo shows Today's picture of Brian Jones
