Brigadier Ioannides of Greek junta arrives at Athens court
Sep. 09, 1974 - Ioannides flees Athens Mob: Former strongman of the Greek junta, Brigadier Dimitrios Ioannides, had to flee in a police car in Athens recently, after demonstrators had trapeped him in the Athens courthouse for several hours. He had been summoned there by the public prosecutor to answer questions about the deaths of students at the Athens Polytechnic last November, when troops and tanks were sent in to quell demonstrations.
