Brigitte Bardot and Alberto Sordi in film scene
Brigitte Bardot has a Bath - In 400 litres of milk watched by Nero - for new film : The French film star Brigitte Bardot has been bathing in four hundred litres (quarts) of milk. Brigitte takes on the role of Poppea, Nero's luxury loving bride, in the newest screen peep into the private life of Rome's mad emperor. Poppea was famous for her creamy white complexion, which she attributed to her daily bath in the milk from her herd of 400 she-asses. As asses were not available the director Steno obtained the milk from cows. A special bath of green marble Massa Carrara was constructed in the studio for Brigitte to bathe in under the adoring eyes of Nero - played by Alberto Sordi. The scene took eight hours to film - and the milk was kept at a warm temperature for the whole period.
