British ice skaters en route for USA
Jul. 07, 1956 - Friday 13th Is Their Lucky Day. Skating Starlets Leave For U.S.A.: Six young British skating starlets left Waterloo this morning in the Queen Mary boat-train, enroute for New York. They carry with them a three-year contract to appear in America's top ice show Ice Capadea, which opens in Atlantic City, New Jersey, later this month. They were recently chosen at auditions held in London by Millionaire U.S. Ice Showman, John H. Harris, and their tour will take them to all the top cities of the United States and Canada.
