Aug. 08, 1954 - Greek Reserve Officers Return to England The Blood They Gave When Fighting The Common Enemy.: A ceremony was held at Pyrgos, Peloponnese recently when 20 reserve officers of the Greek forces offered their blood as representatives of the reserve officers of the area - and started a 320 kilomtre march towards Athens. The blood was put into two bottles and the officers expect to cover the distance in ten days and deliver one of the bottles to the Archbishop of Cyprus and the other to the British Ambassador in Athens Sir Charles Peake for forwarding to ready to sacrifice themselves in order to crash the inadmissable tyranny imposed on the Cyprians.
