Mar. 28, 1956 - 28-3-56 Bishop of Paphos considered to be successor to exiled Archbishop Makarios in Cyprus Bishop Photios of Paphos arrived in Athens recently from Egypt where he claimed he had gone on a confidential mission. The Bishop had talks with members of the Greek government but said he did not know if he was staying in Athens or going to Cyprus later. He told the press that the return from exile of Archbishop Makarios, although he is claimed as the successor to Makarios, Bishop Photios said Nobody could succeed the exiled Bishop.
