1960 - Former General Of Greek Army to command (Illegible) Forces: Retired Lieut Gen. Menelaos Pandelides of the Greek Army - is now in Nicosia Cyp - at the invitation of Archbishop Makarios. General Pandelides, born in Cyprus - is to undertake leadership of the newly formed Cypriot Army. His appointment has been accepted by Dr. Kutchuk chief of the Turkish Minority in Cyrus - and will take up his post as soon as his Turkish Deputy arrives from Turkey. Photo show Lieut. Gen.
