Sep. 09, 1974 - Athens prosecutor Fotios Kritselis has ordered a full scale inquiry into allegations against Despina Papadopoulos, wife of former dictator George Papadopoulos of committing fraud against the State. The allegations described the 44-year-old Despina as collecting a monthly salary from the Greek Intelligence Service (KYP) without offering any service. The prosecutor also filed perjury charges against unidentified persons who falsely verified that Mrs. Papadopoulos had actually worked for (KYP) up the period she received payment between 1967-1973.
