Oct. 10, 1974 - Tina Niarchos Dies from a Blood Clot. Tina Niarchos, 45, wife of the Greek shipping tycoon Stavros Niarchos, has died in Paris from a blood clot that moved from her leg to her heart. She was the former teenage bride of Aristotle Onassis, and until three years ago the Marchioness of Blandford. Her marriage to the Marquess of Blandford, now the Duke of Marlborough, ended in divorce in 1971. Then towards the end of 1971 she married Niarchos.
