Oct. 10, 1976 - Plato's Tree Damaged: The Holy tree of the city of Athens, the 2, 500 years old, was damaged by a bus during a road accident. The Olive tree which, according to the legend was planted bt Philosopher Plato, was uprooted then a bus, following a road accident, broke the iron fence around it. Athenians were shocked when it announced the news the best plant specialists were called to save the tree which they replanted. Now according to the specialists it will show in about 20 days if the tree will live of not. Photo shows Plant specialists attending Plato's tree after the accident
