Bull terrier en route to Lebanon by plane
Feb. 26 Dog goes by air to the Lebanon. Flies to his RAF Master. Rolfe, a bull terrier in London this morning prior to leaving London airport for the Lebanon. The flight has been arranged by the RSPCA and the dog is going to his master Flight Sgt. F. Hitchcock in service with the RAF at base Aerienne, Rayak, Lebanon. Rolfe is 2 years old and was being cared for by Mrs. Hitchcock of Hythe. The society wrote to Sgt. Hitchcock who offered to pay the fare for the dog to be taken to the Lebanon - and the society made the necessary arrangements. photo shows RSPCA inspector F.
