Buoy with mooring eye in Hong Kong harbour
May 05, 1956 - Buoy Has Roving Eye: Being tested in the typhoon-swept port of Hong Kong is a new British buoy claimed to make mooring more rapid and efficient and safer for ships and crew. A feature of the buoy is its mooring eye that ensures instant connection by always being at open and lining up immediately with the direction of the mooring pull.
