Sep. 09, 1959 - Samneua, Laos: Roayl Laotian troops march down a street shortly after arriving at a nearby airstrip to reinforce troops battling Communist rebels and guerillas. It was reported 9/9 that the U.S had air-lifted eight plane loads of supplies to Laos-including rifles and grenades. The aid came as the Laotian government reported recapture of a post in Samneua Province. UPI Telephoto
